The Green Shore.

This is the video I made when I was at the Green Shore Lake House with Chris. I had so much fun. I did wish I had a better camera to get even better shots. Anyways, I loved our trip and soon I will film stuff from the Gay Pride Parade this weekend. It's going to be so much fun.

A Odd Video.

I had my friend Steph in this video. First time I ever really directed someone to do stuff. It was weird, I'm not good at telling people what to do and how to do it, but I did it anyways and that's what counts.

Best Friends Forever.

This is the story of how Chris and I met and became friends. Now everyone will know the true story.

Change.

Another quick video. A lot of things were on my mind, mostly the worry of things changing. Not knowing if it's for the good or bad. I've been thinking a lot of different things, things I wouldn't have thought of in the past. It worries me, but I just got to keep on moving forward.

The Past Couple of Months.

A quick video with a lot of stuff I have been sitting on for the past couple of months. Work has gotten in the way and now I'm doing some other things.

A Nudge for Attention.

I made this a while back and I haven't had the time to post it on my site. I got bored one night and wanted to write a poem about attention and stuff. I asked Chris to give me some pointers and he helped out a bit.

Sitting at the window
Watching the world is so sad
I hear the rain pounding the street
The splashing of the cars driving past

My cat interrupts my thoughts
with a nudge for attention
He curls up in my lap and
My cell phone rings in my hand

I've been waiting for someone to call
Butt I see it's only my job wanting me
So I let it go to voice mail
The feeling that she'll never call...
and wanting her too, grows stronger.

Replaced.

Ever since my ex-girlfriend cheated on me, I have had a tough time of letting go and moving on. I repeatedly do think about that night when I found out she cheated on me.

She came home drunk as she always did but this time it was with a guy friend I never liked. Another druggy and drunk friend from her past. She told me to go sleep at my Aunts and Uncles place down the road. I refused and she went back out to hang out with her friend.

They began to smoke some pot and make out. I came out and they guy got up in my face telling me how I never provide for her and how he could do better then me. He also didn't have a job and wasn't really looking. I don't think with his record and drug habits he would ever get a job and not run the risk of getting stabbed by a Mexican Gang.

He punched me and the person I am, I broke down crying and yelling at my ex blaming her. Just a little background of why I broke down and started to cry. When I was in school I would always get picked on. I was home schooled for two years because it go so bad, I would beat up my bullies in class. During that time I learned I could bypass the fighting by just laughing it off. I never liked to fight and I found a way to not fight and get the bullies to not pick on me anymore. Ok, now that's out of the way. Back to the story.

I grabbed a knife and fitting the urge to kill him, I sliced my forearm and left the house. My ex began to run after me with the guy following with my car keys telling me to take my car. When I got to the street of the apartment complex a cop car pulled up and called for an ambulance. They picked me up and I began to completely break down. I got seven stitches to my forearm. I moved back into my parents, at the time they were stationed in Lima, Peru.

In Peru, I was extremely depressed. I didn't want to be in Peru at all. After learning that I couldn't kill myself, I ran away and slept on the streets for a night until my parents found me. I made the video that really helped me in so many ways.

This was My Suicide Note to everyone, oddly it struck a chord with me and I fell in love with this piece and It brought me back to wanting to live and create Art.

Oh by the way, I learned that the guy never left the house, tried to kill my ex
and almost got killed by a Mexican Gang.

Justin Bieber Dies In This Video.

I saw a video on YouTube "Justin Bieber getting shot for 10 Minutes". I never knew that he was on CSI: Las Vegas. It's been a long while since I've watched an episode, but after learning about that I wanted to make a mash-up video. It's pretty short but I made a drum beat out of the gun shots.

It's pretty fucking shitty but I was inspired by the video down below. Clapping Music, I thought it was pretty cool so I wanted to try and do something like this... I guess.

Twelve Tone Matrix.

When I started making videos with my music I was playing around and trying to find my style and I made these weird ones. I was probably in the "Lets making something fucked up" mood that I am in time to time. I'm a big fan of all kinds of music and in high school I heard of 12 tone music. That really going me going and was like WTF. So, I made these two videos.

My Suicide Note.

I've been thinking about this video I made over a year ago. It's the video that really helped me through a really though time in my life. I lost almost everything and moved to a place I never wanted to go to. I guess I want to show people where I was at when I wrote this video.

I felt like I was in the darkest moment in my life and felt useless to everyone around me, I wanted to feel useless. I've given up in many ways and the only thing I really did was read the Dexter books and listen to the audio books. Every thought of Dexter didn't help me move on since my ex showed me Dexter.

This video was a suicide note to all my friends and family. That was my first intention for the video and everything changed when I finished it. The video didn't take long at all to make and it was really second nature to me.

After I finished the video I felt extremely excited and giddy. I made a master piece, a master piece of darkness. I loved it and I loved the feeling. I felt like I made the best thing ever and one of the darkest things ever. I reminded myself why I loved life so much, I wanted to create things like this. I want to make things for people to relate to and to know that everything is ok. It helped me so much to finally get this off my chest. The feeling was so powerful that I wanted to make more and more.

I wanted to stay around and make things.

Now, I'm in Maryland working at American Eagle and Hot Topic making videos, music and art work. I've met more great friends that I call family and I have a great girlfriend that thinks about me day and night. I'm making money and I've regained all the things I sold off and more. I'm very happy and I'm happy a lot. I have the best roommate slash best friend and a girlfriend that is always there for me through really tough times. I have had some rough trials and I got through them with out forgetting why I want to live.

I want to create stuff and I am.

Star.

As I told you in my last post, I was working on a video for that Daniel G. Harmann & The Trouble Starts band. Well, The video is now up on their YouTube Channel. I'm so proud of myself.

Anyways, heres the video that I edited.

I loved editing it and I'm so happy that Jeremiah finally got me to do something for him. We have been trying to get together and work on something for like ages and finally i get called on to do this project and I apparently everyone was blown away by it. So now, Jeremiah and I are this awesome team.
Also, check out their album Rise, you can buy it on itunes. Daniel G. Harmann & The Trouble Starts, I bought it and I really love it. I've always really enjoyed this kind of style.

I hope this will get me into the music biz. I really want to edit more and shot with Jeremiah. I hope this comes through in a great way.

The Trouble Starts.

So, I've been editing this music video for my friend Jeremiah. He knows a lot of people from Seattle and he is doing a music video for this band called Daniel G. Harmenn & The Trouble Starts. I've really gotten into their music and he showed me this video of theirs and I've fallen in love with it. It makes me tear up. I just love the music, the video and the style of the art. I will soon post the video I edited for them, but for now, you get this awesome music video by them.

Everyday is Caturday.

I finished another video for my Father and he just paid me another Seventy Five bucks. I've been enjoying making some side cash with my art. Although I felt like this video was really a cop-out from the last video I made my Father. I really couldn't think of a cute idea like the finger puppets idea. So I took the original song name and just rolled with it. The name had something to do with cats and so I just video taped them being cute.

A cute fact, We were watching Doctor Who while I recorded. Some of the New Doctor and some Old. I think it's really cute. Chris and I have been trying to finish the first 5 seasons of the New Doctor Who. So when the season 6 comes out I'll be up to date with everything.

MST3K/Biffle + Parker Bleu = This Video.

Chris and I met at Rocky Horror Picture Show and he took me under his wing to show me the ins and outs of Rocky. Later we went to one of his friends house to chill and hang out. Chris and I pretty much spent all night talking about random bullshit. The next morning we ordered pizza and we watched a Mystery Science Theater 3000 movie, The Final Sacrifice. My mind was blown away with mind explosions. Ever since then, I was hooked on bad movies.

When Chris and I were working at American eagle during the holiday season, they played this video. With long pauses and random quotes it was a perfect combination, Chris and I just had to make call lines for it.

Chris was going to be in the video, but he wanted to do his own stuff and I wanted to do this video. I do feel alone in the video, I think it's best with two or more people yelling out call backs. But, I feel like I pulled it off like this.

Enjoy.

I hope I don't get fired for making this video.

Bon Dia.

I while back ago I wrote a Music Video called Bon Dia. It's probably the most viewed video on my youtube and I would agree, It's fucking epic and I feel like it's a video that carried the music very well and I guess it talks to people , in a way. My friend Travis and Natasha really like it and they both wanted to download the song. So, here you go guys, here is where you can download it.

The song was recorded in one night and then I went back home to see an old friend of mine in Arlington, VA. The first shots were of my walk going to the Ballston Station and the last long shot was me going to meet my friend at like 7am on the train from Glenmont. Of course, Bon Dia means good day, so I guess in the video I'm saying good morning while I go and visit an old friend.

Also my friend Travis has a really great YouTube channel where he takes a lot of his favorite music and makes short little videos out of them. Sort of what I do but, a little bit better.

Jones Pure Cane Soda: Root Beer.

Just finished a new video. I get to finally put Root Beer as the co-star in my video and also use some old footage from a few years back. Also I get to show how much I love Hockey and write in a style of music I haven't written in since I first started to play guitar. Anyways, I used a song I wrote called Sometimes in the video to try and tell a story with it. I hope it works. I guess we will find out when I am finished with what I am trying to do.

In the old footage, My cousin Alex, Friend Travis and Myself were going to Walgreens to pick up some soda and candy. So, when I was driving there, I like to play this game called Stop Sign. Whenever I see a Stop sign I don't slow down until the last second, then I stop on a dime sending everyone in the car flying forwards while I hold tight to the steering wheel. Also at the end of the video you see 12:03. It really was Laxatives, my cousin was pulling a prank on me. Fun times.

Funeral and A Good Time By Charles Roe (My Father).

Right Click, Save Link As...

There is tons more music slash photos slash things on his website CharlesRoe.net

You would say this is the very first music video I directed and filmed in away. My father said he would like a music video, it took awhile to get an idea I liked. After I thought of this it was pretty easy and also the very first time I used a green screen. Although the green screen is really just a greenish bed sheet that my roommate had to divide our living area so we would have some privacy.

The song is longer, but since when I filmed the video I couldn't really think of an idea to fill the space in the one minute plus during the solo bit. So, I took it out since it was like a spacious bridge slash solo thing.

Anyways, Enjoy my dad's music and his first video that I made for him.

Guitar Harmonics.

I've always loved using harmonics on the guitar, but I've never really used them for a song until now. This song is nothing but harmonics. The left hand would be playing fretting the notes and my right hand would be holding the guitar pick with my middle finger and thumb while my index finger would be barely touching the string at the same position my left finger is at, only an octave up on the fret.

The video contains a message from my boss from Hot Topic, I was at American Eagle at the time, so that's why I wasn't able to put up the phone. I did get the message and when I was on my break I walked over there to see what was up and everything was just fine. The second message was for my Roommate/Biffle Chris. Mani was his Boyfriend in New York and he thought it was a touching message, so he told me about it and used it.

The Heart of the Matter.

This is the new video with a new twist. The music could be better and I wish I had been using my girlfriends camera, but what can you do. Anyways, I've been trying out this new idea of mine. Telling a story like a silent movie with up to date music. This is one of the videos that kind of starts it all. I'll try to write the music for my next video more like a score. I've never really done this so I'm still working on some things. I've had the biggest problem trying to write the music and the cues I had for the video to match up. I tried my best, but this is not my best and I can do better.

My Roommate slash Biffle Chris is reading a passage from The Heart of the Matter by Graham Greene. Before we were roommates, he came over to my place for once and we recorded a reading session. Attention came out of this one and only reading session I had with him. Most of his poetry and this passage. I was trying to get Chris to record a news slash talk show host style for that part but, I recently watched A Scanner Darkly and there was this one scene where one of the characters turns on a radio and It was describing the scene in a creative way that kind of was like the light bulb to a problem I was having for that scene in my video.

Also, you get to see the American Eagle I work at. I was watching for my manager and had my camera on hand and started to record. There's another video I'm working on that involves American Eagle. I'm starting to work on that one.

Enjoy.
